Tattoo Words

Do you like tattoos? The Bible speaks against tattoos, markings of the body. (Leviticus 19:28 "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.")

How would you feel if every word you've ever said appeared on your body in the form of a tattoo? Would those words make you proud or embarrassed? What about your actions? Have you ever thought about how your words and/or actions makes others feel? What if I told you there is a way to wipe all those words and actions from your imaginary tattooed body and you'll gain a fresh start. A fresh start to making not only yourself feel great but someone else whom you may have hurt in the past.

When you open your heart and allow God in, He gives you a fresh start. He wipes away all those words, all those imaginary tattoos. He wipes away your past. He gives you something no one, here on earth, can give you. He gives you unconditional love and understanding.

You may think, I can find that here in my everyday life. But when you truly give your whole heart to God, you will find that no one here on earth compares to His love. No one compares to His understanding.

Your words and your past can hurt, but you can find a new life within Him. God will give you the strength. He will give you the courage. He will renew your spirit and make you whole again.

So the next time you speak or do something, imagine those words or your actions appearing on your body like a tattoo that you can't remove. Would you be proud of them or embarrassed? Think before you speak, and think before you act. Have you asked God into your heart to wipe those imaginary tattoos away? If not, what are you waiting for? He's been waiting for you to ask for forgiveness, so He can show you what true love and understanding is all about.
